Epson PictureMate SnapIf you like Fast photo print with good speed then here is Epson PictureMate Snap which allows you for greater control over image settings, and also comes with optional battery pack and also you can crop images on printer and can save images to external storage devices also with a good adjustable LCD.

But i am not satisfied with the Photo quality but it can be improve.

Summary: Epson PictureMate Snap With its range of features, decent print quality, and fast print speeds, is a solid choice for snapshooters who like to have their photo lab at home.

The PictureMate Snap is the good and best offering of Epsons personal photo lab. You get everything like an adjustable preview LCD, faster prints, and the ability to crop and make granular image adjustments. It also supports an optional battery pack, a boon for travelers. I found the print quality of the PictureMate Snap acceptable for snapshots, The PictureMate Snap is a great product for snapshooters who want the ability to print 4x6 photos at a moment's notice.

The PictureMate Snap has the best look basic body, with a good control pannel. It has a 2.5-inch adjustable preview LCD, this feature allows us to optimize our viewing angle for different lighting conditions and also has a Display button that lets us toggle between viewing 1, 6, or 15 photos at a time on the LCD. It has four directional keys plus an OK key for navigating menus. Additionally, it has two soft keys that let us to choose options that appear on the screen.

The Snap has two built-in memory card slots on the front that accept most major types of cards, and a USB port in the back for printing from PictBridge-enabled cameras or from wireless Bluetooth devices (but we have to use an optional Bluetooth adapter). Additionally, the Snap lets us to use the USB port to connect external storage devices such as flash thumbdrives or CD burners. We can also back up a memory card to the thumbdrive or to CD, or print images that live on the thumbdrive.

Setting up the PictureMate Snap is very simple: for PC-free printing, simply plug it in, install the print cartridge, and you're ready to go. If you want to take the printer with you without the hassle of toting a power cable, the Snap can run on an optional battery pack. But we have to buy an extra battery pack for this purpose.

When selecting photos, we can sort by range or date, which is useful if we are less than diligent about deleting older pictures from our memory cards. Additional layouts are available, too, including U.S. passport, jumbo wallet, 2x2, and 3x3. In additional to printing an index sheet, we can print a CD index sheet: thumbnails of select photos are printed onto a 4x6 sheet, as well as a guide to where to fold the sheet so it will fit into a CD jewel case. We can use it as a reference to which images live on a CD.

We can also get great photo enhancement features with the Snap. Aside from the opaque PhotoEnhance feature, we can manually adjust settings such as sharpness, brightness, and saturation, as well as crop photos directly on the printer and correct red eye. If we feel creative, we can add frames, though most of the available frames are Disney-themed. We can also decorate a photo, which involves selecting a preinstalled image to add anywhere on our picture.

But most of the small photo studios in India like to print directly from the PC using Photoshop 7, Photoshop CS2 or PhotoShop CS3 and I think Epson PictureMate Snap is the best affordable economic photo printer for instat photo solutions for Indian Photo Studios which are running successfully for urgent photo solutions in vilages and cities all over Inidia.
